Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on Argentine left-back Enzo Díaz.
The story was published by website Mundo Ascenso this week. They claim the Premier League side have recently sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old.
Manchester United representatives would have followed the Agropecuário’s match against Aldosivi last weekend, and bwere ‘amazed’ with what they saw, as his side won 2-0.
As the article has only one paragraph, there isn’t much additional information on the chase, or how much would José Mourinho’s side have to spend to land the youngster.
It’s quite an unusual rumour. Agropecuário currently play in the Argentine second division, which isn’t exactly a league you’d expect Manchester United targets to come from.
And the scouting is not reported by a big media outlet either. Mundo Ascenso are a small website about lower tier local leagues, so we can’t get a spin on how reliable they are.
But the news is starting to spread through the Argentine media, so there’s perhaps more to come in the next few days.
