After signing Antonio Rudiger from Roma, it’s time for Chelsea to point to the other targets. And the next one is Real Madrid right-back Danilo, according to Marca today.
The Spanish newspaper claims that Antonio Conte is pretty focused on bringing the player to Chelsea, and his insistence is convincing the Brazilian that he will be more used in London.
Danilo has been struggling to get all the game time he wants in Madrid, and that’s why the club and Zinedine Zidane won’t make his departure very hard.
Real Madrid are demanding €35m for the player, or at least something close to it. For them, it doesn’t really matter if it’s Chelsea or Juventus who will take him, even though the Old Lady’s interest doesn’t seem to be so strong anymore.
Danilo was always involved in expensive deals. He was only 20 when scored Santos’ winner in the 2011 Copa Libertadores, and was immediately sold to Porto in a €13m deal. After four years in Portugal, Real Madrid signed him in 2015 for €31.5m. And it seems his price won’t stop growing.
