Chilean newspaper La Tercera features a very interesting piece on the situation lived by Arturo Vidal at Inter Milan.
According to their sources, the midfielder is not happy at the Nerazzurri following the lack of importance he’s been having at the club, and could even be leaving them before the end of his contract, which expires in the summer.
And it turns out that when speaking of potential destinations for the 34-year-old, there are two options pointed out: Tottenham Hotspur and Flamengo.
La Tercera spoke to people close to Vidal who claimed that Antonio Conte is very interested in bringing the player to Spurs, following the successful time they has together at Juventus and Inter Milan.
“His former Inter coach, Antonio Conte, contacted the player to find out his availability to arrive in London. Arturo has always wanted to play in England and the option of arriving in London is something that he doesn’t dislike either,” said La Tercera’s sources.
Meanwhile, Flamengo are said to be willing to offer Vidal a ‘millionaire contract’ to convince him. It’s said the ‘flirtations’ between club and player have been ‘more frequent for some time’.
At least for now, La Tercera doesn’t say what the midfielder’s priority would be, although we should all guess Tottenham are the most attractive option on the table.
Vidal has 15 appearances for Inter Milan this season, with most of them coming off the bench, especially in the last fixtures of the Champions League. La Tercera says he now has ‘one foot and a half’ out of the club, although it’s just a personal decision for now.
