Andreas Pereira potentially leaving Manchester United continues to be big news in Spain, thanks to Valencia holding a serious interest in the player.
Just under a week ago, Sport Witness covered claims from the regional Valencia press that Peter Lim had travelled to Manchester United for transfer talks, hoping the personal touch could help get a Pereira deal over the line.
As Sport Witness exclusively reported at the beginning of the week, Jose Mourinho has been against seeing Pereira leave, even just on loan, as he feels there’ll be a role for the youngster over the long season.
That stance has wavered, according to claims in Spain throughout the week, and Mourinho is now open to the idea of a transfer.
Sunday’s edition of Marca talks of another Lim Manchester trip to try and get the transfer sorted, with him also travelling to Paris over the past week for Goncalo Guedes.
Lim wants to do both deals but one would be better than none, and Marca say there’s hope an announcement can be made ‘in next few hours’.
The next few days may be more realistic, and it’s got to be remembered that as well as having the Manchester United interest, and being a fan of the club, Lim also has other business interests in the area.
