Jurgen Klopp’s suggestion that transfers could happen in the January window has of course made it’s way to Spain and been taken as a positive on the potential Coutinho move.
Catalan newspaper Sport believe Klopp ‘hinted’ that a Coutinho transfer could happen by saying there may be movement in January. It’s not only that which has given Sport renewed hope, with the newspaper saying Liverpool need to raise money for their own incomings.
It’s thought Klopp will want to make additions during the january transfer window, and to bring players to Liverpool… so it would be rather handy if Coutinho left the club with a big transfer fee.
Of course, Sport are seeing all of this in a which suits them the best, and perhaps ignoring any bits which aren’t quite perfect for them. Another reasoning for Sport getting the impression Klopp is softening on a Coutinho sale, is Manchester City running away with the title.
With no hope of Liverpool winning the Premier League, Sport think Klopp is now likelier to let the Brazilian go. The price is once again put at €150m.
