It’s currently Jhon Durán’s world and everyone else is living in it, even superstars like Liverpool’s forward Luis Díaz.
The latest example of that comes from Infobae, who cover how the Aston Villa striker gate-crashed the Liverpool man’s interview after the win over Chile.
The pair were on the scoresheet for their country in the 4-0 win in World Cup qualifying on Tuesday, with the Liverpool star scoring the second of the game before the Aston Villa man added a third in the 82nd minute after coming off the bench earlier in the game.
It continued a flying start to the season for both players, with Díaz shining under new Liverpool manager Arne Slot and Durán continuing to be a wonder sub under Unai Emery.
They’ve taken that onto the international stage, with Colombia currently second in the CONMEBOL standing behind reigning world champions Argentina.
They’re benefitting from a group stacked with talent such as Durán and Díaz, who demonstrated the growing camaraderie in the group after the game.
Infobae explain that the Aston Villa man gate-crashed Díaz’s interview after the game, posing for the cameras while the Liverpool man was talking before sharing a friendly exchange with his teammate.
“This guy is very bad,” he said, referring to Díaz, who ‘looked confused’ by what was going on before Durán added that the winger is “the best thing the Colombian team has” and an “animal”.
The little interaction was posted on social media where it generated hundreds of comments and a very positive response, with Colombia fans delighted at the good atmosphere that is clearly growing in Néstor Lorenzo’s squad.
