Following a few stories regarding Flamengo’s bid for the permanent signing of Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira, we finally get to see the figures involved in the offer.
According to an update from ESPN Brasil, the Rio de Janeiro side put on the table numbers below €10m for the player.
The outlet claims the Red Devils don’t even consider accepting that amount, and the negotiations will carry on.
Flamengo have the option to buy Pereira for €20m until the summer, and even though there’s an ‘opening’ from Manchester United to make a deal for less, the amount offered was still considered too low.
ESPN Brasil adds that the Old Trafford side have Pereira’s sale as a ‘priority’, and they’re not interested in loaning him for longer than his current spell, which expires in June.
It’s also claimed that there are other clubs in Europe monitoring the midfielder, and Manchester United believe they’ll receive more offers for him.
However, in case the bids are similar, Pereira’s wish is said to be to stay in Brazil.
