Sold by Novara yo Parma in a €2.3m deal, Alessio Da Cruz made one of the biggest transfers in Serie B during January.
Impressing with five goals and five assists in the league so far, the winger was worth some decent investment from his new club, and now tries to match the expectations.
The player’s agent has given an interview to website Tutto B this Friday, and besides talking about the transfer, he’s revealed something very interesting regarding Arsenal.
The representative simply claimed the Gunners had interest in signing the 21-year-old, and didn’t rule out a move in the future.
“Da Cruz had many admirers, among them Arsenal, who followed him for some time. The negotiation with the English club did not go through for many reasons, but they didn’t stop following him because of this,” the agent said.
It’s not very common for big Premier League clubs like Arsenal to sign second division players. But as we know the scouting work starts at these levels, maybe Arsene Wenger wants to have a full analysis in case the player gets to Serie A someday.
