Chelsea and Sevilla have closed their agreement for Jules Koundé, who is set to earn €6m net a year at Stamford Bridge.
That’s according to journalist Gonzalo Tortosa, who says the Frenchman will sign a five-year deal with the Blues.
Reports in Spain and England have Koundé edging closer to a move to Chelsea this summer, with the latest indicating that Sevilla were simply waiting for those in charge at Stamford Bridge to send over the documents.
Either way, a deal has been getting closer to completion, even with the defender electing to go with Sevilla to Portugal at the last minute.
Tortosa confirms as much, saying the two clubs have their ‘agreement closed’ for a deal worth €65m, including variables.
He also reports that the Frenchman will sign a deal with Chelsea until 2027, earning a salary of €6m post-tax.
That works out at around €125,000 per week in his bank account, which is likely to be a significant increase on the wages he earns at Sevilla.
