Tottenham Hotspur have spent much of the January window being linked with a move for Wolves attacker Adam Traore.
The 25-year-old will have less than a year left on his contract in the summer, which puts Bruno Lage’s side under some pressure regarding his future.
Spurs will naturally want to take advantage of that, which has been seen in claims they initially went in with a relatively low fee.
Now there are optimistic updates from Spain, with AS reporting that sources close to the situation have spoken to them. Given both the clubs are English, and that Traore is Spanish, it’s not too hard to assume those sources are close to the Wolves player.
AS report those sources have told them an ‘agreement is close’ for the January transfer, negotiations are said to be ‘on the right track’, and the deal is ‘close to closing’.
Tottenham’s first offer is put at €17m, with Wolves wanting more, and this very optimistic Spanish slant clearly presents it as a transfer which is likely to happen before the winter market comes to a close.
