Following claims on Thursday that Fali Ramadani had managed to get himself another 10 days to get Kalidou Koulibaly to Manchester City, there are a few more articles popping up in the local Naples media.
The agent is still mediating between the two sides, who refuse to talk to each other following the Jorginho debacle, but no bid has been deemed acceptable as of yet.
According to Il Mattino, Aurelio De Laurentiis’ will not change his stance and accept the €60m City are prepared to give him.
As for Koulibaly, the local newspaper state he’s ‘dreaming of Paris Saint-Germain’, whose season hasn’t started in the best manner with two defeats in their first three games.
A player of the Senegalese’s stature would go a long way to calm things down in the French capital, but they have also failed to meet Napoli’s demands.
While Manchester City set an end date of September 15th (which has now allegedly been extended by 10 days), Napoli aren’t putting any limits on Koulibaly’s departure i.e. he can leave on the last day of the transfer window if the offer is right.
Il Mattino state ‘Ramadani will work to change minds on the defender’s price next week, but it will be futile’.
The reason for that is ‘the more Manchester City put their foot down on the Jorginho matter, the more Napoli’s desire to reach out to the English side wanes’.
This is echoed by Corriere del Mezzogiorno, who state De Laurentiis ‘continues to wait for an offer of €70-80m’ from either the Premier League side or Paris Saint-Germain.
Without Koulibaly’s exit, Napoli can’t reshape their defence, so it’s all down to Manchester City here, as has been the case for months now.
