The agent of IK Sirius midfielder Kingsley Sarfo has told the Swedish media he plans to get his client a move in the summer window. The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester City in recent weeks.
Fotboll Direkt have reported on comments made by Niklas Strand when asked about the future of Sarfo.
Strand confirmed there has been interest from clubs in other countries, along with Swedish sides. Asked whether the youngster would be leaving Sirius, Strand said they intend to get the player a move.
“There is interest in Spain and Italy and many other countries. There are top teams and there is concrete interest from other clubs in Sweden. Yes, that’s the plan (to move), but thinks can change quickly in football,” said Strand on the Manchester City linked midfielder.
Earlier in the month there were claims Manchester City are monitoring Sarfo and recently sent scouts to watch the Ghanaian. The Sirius player has impressed for the Swedish side this season, and was named the Allsvenskan player of the month for April.
Given Pep Guardiola’s track record with developing young players a move to Manchester City could be ideal for Sarfo, but a loan away would probably be likelier.
