The agent of Everton attacker Henry Onyekuru has confirmed his client will be remaining on loan with Galatasaray after claims Valencia want the player.
The Everton youngster recently joined the Turkish club on a season’s loan deal due to his continuing issues with getting a work permit in England.
Milliyet have reported on comments William D’Avila made on the attacker: “Henry was wanted by a lot of clubs. Valencia was one of them. However, we decided on the transfer to Galatasaray. It’s too late for Valencia.”
Yesterday we covered claims from Turkey that Valencia have approached Everton and asked for his deal with Galatasaray to be cancelled.
However, Galatasaray have understandably said Onyekuru will be remaining with them after impressing during preseason.
Despite this, the Istanbul club would be open to a switch if Valencia pay them a big chunk of compensation. Galatasaray would also request Everton return the loan fee they paid for the Nigerian.
Onyekuru joined Everton from Eupen last summer, but has still not made his debut for the Toffees due to work permit issues.
