It appears we now have real movement for the transfer of Victor Nelsson from Galatasaray to Wolverhampton Wanderers in January.
The news that the Molineux side are interested only broke on Thursday, but it has quickly developed, as Aksam bring the latest on Friday.
It’s explained the defender is unhappy at having lost his spot to Davinson Sanchez this season, and his behaviour hasn’t been great, which has opened a door to a move away in January.
They state Nelsson asked his agent to ‘find him a new club’ a while ago, which is when the representative travelled to England to speak with clubs
Already of interest to the likes of Tottenham in the past, it appears Wolves have taken notice of the situation and are keen.
Aksam reveal that his agent ‘made contact’ with the Molineux side while on this side of the Channel, and the parties ‘reached an agreement’.
Not only that, but Nelsson himself ‘approved this transfer’.
While Wolves have yet to make a bid, it’s explained the first offer will arrive in January, while Galatasaray ‘want to earn significant income’ from a transfer, despite him dropping down the pecking order.
The Turkish side previously wanted his €25m release clause to be triggered to get a deal done, but it remains to be seen if that is still the case this time around.
