Wolverhampton Wanderers have emerged as the contender to sign Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson in the winter market.

The defender wasn’t able to get a move elsewhere in the last window despite being linked to a few clubs. He’s still looking to change clubs in January and has ‘instructed’ his agent to find a new destination.

That’s according to Akşam, who state Wolves are considering an approach for the 25-year-old.

His deal expires in 2026 and on October 11th, the defender said he’s not planning to sign an extension. Since then, he has made only one start

The Denmark international is ‘very disturbed’ with his current situation at Galatasaray and has asked his agent to find a new club.

It’s said Wolves have ‘stepped in’ to sign the centre-back after his representative made a trip to England to hold talks with interested parties. Gary O’Neil’s side will knock on the Turkish champions’ door in the winter market for Nelsson.

Akşam add Galatasaray aren’t willing to let the Dane go cheaply, and therefore, Wolves will try to sign him on loan with an option to buy. No figures are mentioned in the report.
