After making 13 starts in the Premier League in the first half of the last season, Wesley Hoedt failed to make a single appearance for Southampton after Ralph Hasenhüttl took charge at the club.
In January, Celta Vigo signed the centre-back on a loan deal with an option to buy, but the La Liga decided against exercising the option and the 25-year-old returned to St Mary’s Stadium at the end of the last campaign.
An agency called SEG represents the Netherlands international and Calciomercato claims one of their important agents, Kees Vos, met with AC Milan at the Serie A club’s headquarters.
During the meeting between the agent and the Italian club, Vos ‘proposed’ Hoedt to Milan.
That is the only information mentioned in the report and there’s no suggestion to indicate if Milan are keen on Hoedt or if they are planning to formulate an offer to sign him.
Hoedt still has three years left on Southampton contract.
