For the past two months, the Catalan press have repeatedly insisted Barcelona are keen to sign Leeds United star Raphinha.
It was also explained the La Liga side can take the winger for €25-30m, if the Whites drop down from the Premier League.
Leeds United managed to seal a 2-1 win over Brentford, while Burnley suffered a 2-1 loss to Newcastle United on Sunday.
These two results mean Jesse Marsch’s side will continue in the top division next season.
With the Whites avoiding relegation, Sport explains the Brazil international ‘is more expensive’ for Barca. The Catalan club had reached an agreement with the former Rennes man but finding one with Leeds may be hard for them.
The newspaper states the attacker will no longer be available for €25m. Therefore, it will be ‘more difficult’ for the Spanish giants to take him away from Leeds this summer.
Claims made by Sport are backed up by Mundo Deportivo on Monday and they then add more information on this case.
They state it remains to be seen whether Leeds will ‘maintain the sale price’ of the South American or ‘make him more expensive’ after avoiding the drop to the Championship.
Raphinha is represented by Deco and the agent ‘plans to meet’ with Leeds in the ‘coming weeks’ to ‘clarify’ his client’s situation. As of now, no date has been set for this meeting.
The player’s ‘great dream’ is to join Barcelona and he ‘wants to know as soon as possible’ whether Marsch’s side will ‘facilitate his departure’ this summer.
