A Spor’s Besiktas journalist Hakan Gundogar has claimed the Turkish club have been offered the chance to sign Solomon Rondon from West Bromwich Albion.

Gundogar says agents have offered the West Brom star to Besiktas and with Alvaro Negredo and Vagner Love expected to leave the Turkish club they could be interested in the South American.

Besiktas still haven’t replaced Cenk Tosun after selling the forward to Everton in January and Rondon could be an option.

The Besiktas board are currently giving consideration to signing the Venezuelan striker but manager Senol Gunes will have the final say over a potential transfer.

Gundogar added: “Rondon is cheaper than other targets. That makes him an interesting target for the club. But the final decision will be made by Gunes. If he gives the green light, then there’s a huge possibility for this transfer to happen.”

Rondon still has a year left on his current West Brom contract but after the Baggies’ relegation to the Championship, it would be no surprise if the 28 year old leaves the club.

The attacker played 36 games in the Premier League last season for West Brom, scoring 7 goals.
