Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is on Juventus’ wish list for the summer, according to the Italian media today.
Website Calcio Mercato claims there’s been a meeting in Milan with intermediary Frank Trimboli, who works with the English market, and the player’s name was brought up.
The outlet says Alderweireld could leave Spurs this summer for an amount of €30m. He would be on Juve’s list along with PSG defender Marquinhos.
It’s recalled that Inter Milan had also been interested in Alderweireld, but Calcio Mercato makes it sound like Juve don’t have much of competition from their Serie A rivals.
With the farewell of Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus still don’t have a manager for next season, but the outlet claims that it’s Fabio Paratici who’s taking care of the signings for now.
Trimboli’s meeting, which was caught on camera, has been used as the basis for several stories, including about Mauricio Pochettino potentially moving to Juve.
It could be assumed that whilst the meeting did happen, the reason for it is unclear and the Italian media are making sure they tick every box.
