On Monday morning, we covered the Italian media claiming that Juventus are pushing strongly to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, as there would soon be a meeting between the Turin side and his representative Rafaela Pimenta.

Well, it seems the official’s visit to the Old Lady happened today, because there are now several local outlets covering the presence at the training centre.

The first to do it was Calcio Mercato, who claimed the meeting had ‘officially begun’. They claim that Manchester United’s offer for a renewal has already been ‘set aside’ by the midfielder, who now has bids from PSG and Juventus on the table.

CalcioMercato.it then came up claiming that Pogba has ‘already given his willingness to return’ to Turin, as his ‘priority’ is to make a return to Italy. That means he’d be happy to take a pay cut, despite PSG offering him €12m per season.

Meanwhile, Tutto Mercato Web keep their feet on the ground, only confirming the meeting and claiming that the parties are ‘starting to negotiate on what could be the possible contract’ for Pogba’s return to Juve.

So as Tuesday’s newspapers promise to bring more details on how the meeting went, it seems likely that the midfielder’s departure from Manchester United as a free agent is now very close.
