The agent of Salernitana forward Massimo Coda has told the Italian media they’ll decide on the player’s future in the summer. Coda is expected to leave the Serie B side if they don’t get promotion this season, and the 28-year-old has been linked with a move to Leeds United.
TMW have reported on comments Giuseppe Galli made in which he confirmed clubs made offers for Coda during the last transfer window. Galli said they will now sit down with Salernitana at the end of the season to see what their plans are, and then a decision will be made.
“In January, there were several requests. We will meet with the club in the summer over its project for next season and then we will see what to do,” said Coda’s agent.
During the last window we covered reports from the Italian and the British press that Leeds United had made an offer for Coda. Beppe Galli spoke about requests coming in for his client, but he didn’t go as far as revealing which clubs were interested.
During the last summer window it was claimed Leeds United made a last ditch attempt to sign Coda. Officials from the club travelled to Italy to hold transfer talks, but a deal never materialised.
