A lot has been said about Diego Costa’s future at Chelsea in the media over the last few months. Many media outlets claim Costa would be allowed to leave the club once Chelsea sign another striker.
Costa has been mostly linked with a return to Atletico Madrid, but that door might be closed now with the arrival of Kevin Gameiro at the club.
According to Corriere dello Sport on Saturday, Jorge Mendes has offered Costa to Serie A clubs Inter and Napoli.
CDS assume Chelsea will sign Romelu Lukaku, and that will put Costa’s future in doubt at the club. Napoli are looking for a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain, but have Icardi as their primary target.
Inter, on the other hand, could replace Icardi with Costa or add another striker to their squad.
Frankly, we’re not sure if a move to any Serie A club could be tempting for Costa. Napoli can offer him Champions League football, but staying in the Premier League should be tempting as well.
