For the third consecutive year, it seems we’ll have another summer when Rafa Silva will be heavily linked to Premier League clubs.

While still at Braga, the Portuguese midfielder was first said to be wanted by the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool. But after his move to Benfica, where he took a long time to adapt, other sides such as Everton, Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers started being mentioned as potential contenders.

Now Silva is finally finding some good form for the Eagles, especially after a great performance against Paços de Ferreira this weekend. That’s why the rumours are showing up again, with his agent quite happy to feed them.

Representative Antonio Araujo was interviewed by Radio Renascença this Monday, and was back mentioning the English sides.

“Europe calls for Rafa. Even now, in the January market, the clubs that contacted us, from the Premier League, were and are still interested in taking him.

Playing in England has always been a dream of Rafa Silva, as his agent has already told Sport Witness a couple of years ago. Now with Everton and Leicester being linked to the player still in December, would it be these clubs who the official was speaking of?
