Ajax youngster Gabriël Misehouy has not spoken to Manchester City about a move yet, despite their reported interest in him.
That’s according to his agent Guido Albers, who insists no talks have taken place despite admitting he is frustrated and disappointed by Ajax’s treatment of the player.
Misehouy is one of the next generation of Ajax youngsters making their way through the ranks at the Dutch club, having joined them as a youngster from OSV Youth in 2012.
Since then, he’s been working his way up the ranks, playing for the U17s, U18s and now U21s since last year.
He’s yet to fully break into the first team but that has not stopped him from being noticed, with reports earlier this year indicating that Manchester City were keeping a close eye on him.
That interest had been passed on to Misehouy himself, who openly admitted that it was great but insisted that he wasn’t looking to move away at this point in his career.
That’s a sentiment his agent has now shared, insisting he’s not spoken to Manchester City or anyone else despite the rumours swirling around.
“If you are training with the first team at the age of 116 and still not in the first team at the age of 18, then something has gone wrong in the guidance. I blame Ajax for that,” he said.
“I’ve never spoken to Manchester City. And never with another foreign club. My only goal with Gabriël is to reach Ajax’s first-team.”
