Chelsea star Jorginho continues to be linked with a move back to Italy and the rumours are fuelled by comments made by his agent, João Santos.
Having followed Maurizio Sarri from Napoli to Stamford Bridge in 2018, rumours started placing Jorginho away from the Blues in 2019.
The Brazil-born Italy international still has two years left on his contract and his representative has regularly been trying to place his client back in the Serie A.
On May 6th, Santos admitted the 29-year-old will move to Italy when his contract with the Premier League side expires.
The agent has now done a u-turn and suggested Thomas Tuchel’s man could be in favour of rejoining the Naples club this summer, and he made these comments less than 48 hours before Chelsea’s Champions League final clash against Manchester City.
“Now he is focused on the Champions League final, and we hope that everything goes well,” Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, as relayed by Area Napoli.
“After that, he will think about the European Championship and, at the end of the competition, we will see. He would like to return to Italy, but to see him again at Napoli, it [transfer] depends on Aurelio De Laurentiis [Napoli chairman].”
Santos has been frequently changing his stance on the timing of when Jorginho could return to Italy, but has been consistent in saying his client wants a return to Serie A.
