On deadline day of the 2021 summer window, Brighton & Hove Albion took Abdallah Sima from Slavia Prague and immediately loaned him out to Stoke City.
The forward’s loan spell with the Potters was not eventful as injuries stopped him from featuring regularly last season. He was restricted to only four appearances in all competitions.
Sima’s contract with Brighton runs until 2026 and reports in England have stated Schalke are an option for the 21-year-old in the ongoing window.
Claims made in the UK are relayed WAZ, who then share their original information on this case.
The Seagulls player’s agent, Daniel Chrysostome, confirmed to WAZ the German club have ‘contacted’ Sima’s management. That does not mean Schalke will sign the Senegal international this summer.
Schalke achieved promotion to the top flight by winning the second division last season. They have already made several changes to their squad for next next season. The report states that if Sima were to join them, it is ‘only possible’ through a loan deal.
