Monday’s edition of Tuttosport has yet another article on the future of Gabigol.
The 22 year old moved from Santos to Inter Milan in August 2016 but failed to make it at the Italian club. A loan switch to Benfica didn’t go too well for the striker, and he was then sent back to Santos, also on loan, in his own country.
Gabigol, still only 22 years of age, managed to rebuild his reputation somewhat and Inter hoped they could cash in, but the previous failures seem to be holding clubs off.
Brazilian side Flamengo are keen but don’t have the money, so there’s the possibility of them doing a deal which involves a first option on their youngster Lincoln.
At the same time, Kia Joorabchian is said to be trying to get West Ham to agree a deal.
Tuttosport says the agent is ‘historically close to’ the Premier League club, and therefore a move to the Hammers is the easiest option in England for a January transfer.
A move to West Ham would be on a loan deal with a compulsory purchase option.
