The agency of FC Twente midfielder Mateusz Klich has told the Dutch media no deal has yet been agreed for his client to leave the club this summer. The Pole was yesterday linked with a move to Leeds United, with some reports the Championship side had made an offer for the player.
Speaking to Twente Fans, Klich’s management were asked about the future of their client following speculation he could be heading to Leeds United. They confirmed no deal has been done despite yesterday’s reports in the Dutch and Polish press.
“There is no question of an agreement being done.”
Leeds United’s interest in Klich first appeared in the Netherlands, and by the time this filtered through to Poland there were reports of an approach for the player, and even an offer.
However, given these comments from Klich’s management company it seems the Polish media have got ahead of themselves, although reports of a move to England are unlikely to go away any time soon.
