AC Milan are still not sure they’ll have Ismael Bennacer available for their Champions League clash against Tottenham Hotspur, the Italian media reports.
Sport Mediaset saythat following the midfielder’s recent hamstring injury, he went through an MRI scan to check the issue on his femoral biceps.
It’s claimed that a ‘minor lesion’ was found, and he’s set to have that issue checked again next week.
Milan play Spurs at the San Siro on the 14th of February, in what will be the first leg of the Champions League’s round-of-16. The second leg only takes place on the 8th of March, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Bennacer has been an important player for the Rossoneri, with 27 appearances this season and being their main defensive asset in midfield. So missing him in such an important game will surely be a big problem for Stefano Pioli’s squad.
Tottenham still have two Premier League clashes before then, as they’re playing Manchester City and Leicester City in the coming fixtures.
