Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci has been linked with a move to Bologna in the Italian media. The 27-year-old spent last season on loan with Empoli, but the Tuscan side were relegated to Serie B last weekend.
TMW have reported Bologna are considering signing Bellusci this summer as their manager Roberto Donadoni looks to bolster his defence. The Leeds United player’s future is currently up in the air after Empoli’s relegation, and the Rossoblu could look to take advantage.
A move to Bologna would give the defender Serie A football next season despite reports this week Empoli could still redeem the player. Bellusci has impressed during his loan spell with the club, and a permanent move from Leeds United could happen.
Whatever happens it’s likely the central defender will remain in Italy, and now it’s just a question with which club. It seems Bellusci no longer has a future at Leeds United, and he was happy to get the return to Italy with Empoli.
The thought of Bellusci returning hasn’t exactly gone down well with the Elland Road faithful, so Bologna arriving with interest will likely be welcomed.
