Portuguese newspaper Record seems pretty sure that Ricardo Pereira is on the verge of leaving FC Porto this summer.
The outlet writes a story today saying the right-back should be the first player to be sold in the next transfer window, and his move out of the club is ‘imminent’.
Record still doesn’t know where Pereira is going to, and the only club they name in the story are Leicester City, whose ‘strong interest’ has already been reported by them.
Porto had reportedly been holding the player until the end of the league, and now that it’s done, it will be ‘impossible’ to keep him.
Leicester City have been linked to Pereira for a few months now.
In April, we were able to confirm the interest, although there hadn’t been any offers at that time.
Record now says that Porto’s plan is to get an amount close to his €37.5m release clause.
