Tuttosport have been building their excitement for several weeks over the prospect of Alvaro Morata moving from Chelsea and returning to his former club Juventus.
Morata was much liked in Turin, both on and off the pitch, and what was initially presented as an idea by Tuttosport is now pushed forward as something which could actually happen.
They say Juve ‘prepare to accelerate’ on the possible big deal, and now they’re not just dreaming up loan deals. For a couple of weeks the Turin media put in great effort trying to shoehorn Morata into a Juan Cuadrado type loan but now they’re considering a straight transfer.
It’s believed Chelsea would be looking at €60m, which may be optimistic given the Premier League club paid around €20m more less than a year ago.
Morata doesn’t feel like he’s been able to express himself fully in English football and ‘wants to return’ to Juventus.
We’re not entirely sure whether Tuttosport have genuine information here or want the move to happen so much that they’re convincing themselves of progress.
Once again, Spanish international Morata is one of two named Juventus targets, joined by Anthony Martial.
