Sevilla have made as many as nine signings this summer after the arrival of Jorge Sampaoli at the club, and there could be more. Jesus Navas is reportedly on the wish-list of the Spanish club, and he faces an uncertain future at Manchester City.
Navas has another year left on his contract at the Etihad, and it’s not clear if he fits into Pep Guardiola’s plans for next season.
According to El Decano Deportivo on Monday, Sevilla are keen on taking Navas back to Spain. It is reported Navas is almost certain to leave the club, except if Guardiola decides to keep him, which quite obviously goes without saying. It’s stated talks are going on, with the knowledge Navas would welcome the move.
El Decano Deportivo quote The Daily Star to suggest Navas could be available for €7m, and it’s clear they want to believe English claims, which may be unreliable, to back up their own claims of a possible Navas return.
Earlier, a Sevilla official confirmed the club are waiting for the European Super Cup, after which they’ll reassess their squad.
