Everton January signing Cenk Tosun has told the Turkish media he sees similarities between himself and Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
Tosun has started to make an impact in recent weeks after a slow start to his Everton career.
Speaking to Fanatik, Tosun spoke about the Premier League and Tottenham forward Kane: “I was following Kane before my transfer to Everton. He’s a very quality striker and I think our styles are similar.
“But also there are aspects that we are doing differently. He’s definitely in the top 3 for me in terms of goalscoring.”
Tosun signed for Everton in the last transfer window for a transfer fee in the region of £27m, but it’s taken the Turkey international time to find his feet in England.
The forward has been in and out of the Everton starting eleven since his arrival on Merseyside, but last week he was the hero in the 2-1 victory over Stoke City. Tosun scored both goals for the Toffees and has now netted four times in the last three games.
The striker has some way to go to match the records Kane has set for Tottenham in recent seasons, but it seems he’s started to show the Goodison Park faithful what he can bring to the team.
