If Manchester United fans haven’t been satisfied with Victor Lindelof’s little impact in the team this season, they probably won’t be very excited when another Benfica defender is linked to the club.
Youngster Ruben Dias was the one who replace the Swedish player at the Eagles’ starting team this season, and last week, it was claimed that a Manchester United delegation were keeping an eye on his performances there.
Now newspaper Record has a story saying Dias should be gone in the summer, as there are interested clubs in England and Italy who would be happy to take him.
The minimum price set by Benfica would be €40m.
Manchester United don’t get a mention in Record this time, but it’s just a matter of adding up 1 + 1 and we know that there will be links once the auction in the summer market is on.
Especially with the Red Devils being expected to go for a defender in that window.
But what we wonder is if this is a stage where José Mourinho would have the patience to bring in a 20-year-old to solve his defensive problems.
