As Nicolas Gaitan prepares to decide where will he play for the rest of the season, it seems that he has already ruled out a move to Swansea City.

It’s the Spanish newspaper AS claiming it today, saying that despite the Premier League side’s efforts to sign the player, he’s not very keen on making the move.

From the list of pretenders, Swansea City are said to be the club with the strongest interest, with the offer being good for all involved. But Gaitan wouldn’t be interested in joining the club currently bottom of the Premier League table.

According to AS, Gaitan has also rejected a move to Mexican side Monterrey as well, and although Boca Juniors are trying to bring him to his home country, his wages are far too high for the Buenos Aires side.

The 29-year-old knows he’s not in Diego Simeone’s plans for the rest of the season, so he’s aware that he needs to leave Atletico Madrid in case he still wants to play.

But with only two days left in the transfer window, it seems the player is waiting for a fantastic offer to fall from the sky.

Swansea have been pushed out of and brought back into this one repeatedly, so there’s every chance this continues until the window closes.
