A potential fee of around €20m has been suggested in England as a possible price for Burnley and Newcastle, but Marca point out that’s ‘very far’ from the player’s €30m clause, and that struggling Las Palmas don’t want to sell.
It’s got to be considered unlikely that Newcastle or Burnley would be prepared to pay anything like €30m for the player.
Two goals and three assists in 17 appearances this season aren’t exactly amazing statistics, and it would be a surprise if either Newcastle or Burnley are as interested as has been suggested.
