A couple of weeks ago, we covered a story from Record where Nordi Mukiele’s agent confirmed Manchester City’s interest in his client.

Claiming he was ‘third on their list’, Frédéric Payet added an extra layer to the whole thing by explaining the Montpellier youngster’s dream was to play in the Premier League.

With Benfica also said to be interested in the young defender, the price was stated to be around €10m, which was too much for the Portuguese club.

Fast forward to this week, and Mercato365 in France have a new figure, claiming Montpellier would want ‘at least €12m’ for their starlet.

This remains a small fee for Pep Guardiola’s side, who are expected to buy at least one defensive reinforcement in January.

However, the French website explain there’s little chance that player will be Mukiele, as the Ligue 1 club are likely to hold out until the summer to sell him.

With both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain after him, and six months for him to continue to impress, you can’t really blame them.
