Turkish newspaper Fanatik claim Newcastle United will not make an offer for Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye.
Fanatik say after watching his recent performances Newcastle United scouts have not been impressed with the Senegalese international because he hasn’t shown any consistency.
In November there were reports linking him with a move to Newcastle United, with Rafael Benitez reportedly keen on the 26 year old. Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek was quick to cool this speculation by confirming the player is not for sale.
Ndiaye’s season has been inconsistent, following his move to Galatasaray last summer. He’s caught the eye in some games, but he’s tended to go missing against the bigger clubs.
It’s likely this has been taken into account by Newcastle United, and impacted their decision not to pursue the player.
However, Newcastle United are still strongly linked with fellow Turkish league player Cenk Tosun, with recent reports they could come in with a bid for the Besiktas forward in the next window.
