Voetbal International have reported Frank de Boer will install Orlando Trustfull as his right hand man at Crystal Palace. De Boer will later today be unveiled as the new manager of the Premier League side.
The Dutchman is currently evaluating the coaching staff at Crystal Palace, report Voetbal International, and it seems he’s already chosen his assistant.
It’s been claimed De Boer has again turned to Trustfull after the pair previously worked together at Ajax and Inter Milan. The two Dutchmen spent a season together at Ajax before their forgettable, or unforgettable depending which way it’s looked at, three months in Italy.
Turstfull has been working in coaching since 2011 and worked with the youth teams at Ajax, before making the step up to the senior team in 2015.
Before taking up coaching the 46-year-old had a successful playing career with the likes of Vitesse, Feyenoord and Sheffield Wednesday.
Crystal Palace and De Boer started serious negotiations towards the end of last week, and the manager’s back-room staff will have been a big part of that.
