A few days ago, we covered a story from OwnGoalNigeria looking at the work permit situation of young Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi.
The 19-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan in Germany and Holland as the Reds try and get him the paperwork he needs to be able to play for them down the line.
However, if the request gets turned down, Liverpool will need to find him yet another club on the continent to help him continue his development, and one has come forward.
According to the very same website, OwnGoalNigeria, Sint-Truiden in Belgium have ‘opened talks’ with Jürgen Klopp’s side about a possible loan move for next season.
They aren’t the only club to have expressed an interest, with Kalmar in Sweden also keen, as well as an unnamed Turkish side.
OwnGoalNigeria state the Belgian side have a good relationship with Liverpool, and are hoping to use it to influence the Premier League side to bring in Awoniyi next season.
The young forward scored three goals in 21 appearances for NEC Nijmegen last season.
