Arsenal allowed Fábio Vieira to join FC Porto on loan in the summer window.
The attacking midfielder struggled for regular minutes at Arsenal since joining them from the Dragons in June 2022. He returned to the Portuguese club with a hope of enjoying more game time, but that hasn’t happened yet.
Vieira missed the start of the season due to an injury. He returned to the pitch towards the end of last month and has clocked in 54 minutes from three matches. On October 1st, the Arsenal man stated he’s eager to feature regularly, after recovering from an injury.
The 24-year-old is yet to make his first start since returning to the club on a loan deal. Saturday’s edition of Jornal de Notícias have a report on him, titled: ‘Fábio Vieira leads the revolution in the blue and white eleven’.
Within the report, it’s explained the Arsenal owned player should make his first start for Porto when they face lower division side SU Sintrense in the cup competition on Sunday.
It’s claimed Porto manager Vítor Bruno intends to use those players who haven’t enjoyed more game time this season. Vieira is among them and the newspaper claims he should be used as an attacking midfielder.
This is a good opportunity for Vieira to kickstart his loan spell at Porto.
