Villarreal are interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Pablo Sarabia, if he’s available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
That’s according to Fichajes.net, who report that Sarabia is on Villarreal’s list as they continue to plan for future windows.
They explain that Sarabia is set to end his contract with Wolves in 2025 and could sign for the Spanish side on a free transfer at that point.
In fact, he’ll be free to negotiate with clubs from January over a pre-contract agreement, unless Wolves extend his current contract.
Until that happens the potential for a free transfer is there and Villarreal are one of several sides to have shown an interest in the 32-year-old.
Their interest is not seen as a coincidence as they are looking to reinforce their squad with players ‘of proven quality’ and Sarabia fits that idea. His experience in Europe and his ability to play in various attacking positions both make him an attractive option to explore.
They’ve had success with similar signings in the past and the fact that he’d available on a free makes him all the more attractive.
His situation is therefore one to keep an eye on, with interested parties waiting to see what Wolves do before potentially making their moves.
