Player says Rangers have made him “more complete”, but it’s not where he wants to be next season

Fabio Silva seems pretty satisfied with the short loan he’s just had at Rangers.

As Portuguese outlet O Jogo covers an interview the player gave to the Spanish media, he says he managed to improve while playing under Philippe Clement. That was due to the multiple roles he was able to play in the past few months.

“It’s not good to change countries all the time. Rangers made me more complete, I played in a different position, I scored goals, I felt good. Before I only played as a nine, now I can play in all the attacking positions,” said Silva.

In the same interview, the player made it clear he’s not keen on a return to his parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers. Silva said he already has an agreement with Wolves to find a new solution for his career this summer, and is keen on moving to Spain.

Silva arrived at the Scottish side in January this year. During his spell, he had six goals in 25 appearances for the club. A potential stay at Rangers was not even mentioned in the interview, and it seems he’s really looking forward to other options in his career.

The attacker had been signed by Wolves back in 2020, and following his time at Rangers, he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €11m.
