Tottenham defender Emerson Royal is ‘convinced’ he’s found the perfect new club in AC Milan and is now waiting for a transfer to happen.

That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say the Brazilian has given the okay to a move this summer and wants it to be a reality.

The newspaper reports that if the decision were solely in the Tottenham player’s hands, he would already be an AC Milan player.

He wants the move to the Rossoneri, particularly as several reports have made it clear that Tottenham are keen to move him on as part of a major overhaul under Ange Postecoglou this summer.

Royal is ‘convinced’ he’s found the perfect new club but Tottenham, despite wanting to sell, ‘will not give gifts to anyone’.

The two clubs need to negotiate a deal and the belief is that Tottenham want at least €20m for the full-back before they will sanction his move.

In the meantime, Emerson Royal’s agents are working with Milan to work out an agreement over his contract, looking to finalise that side of things before then approaching Tottenham. There is a confidence that there will be no problem over wages.

That’s because Emerson is convinced about the move to Milan and the chance to ‘relaunch himself’ in Italy after finding himself no longer a key player for Spurs.
