Barcelona are keen on signing Liverpool star Luis Díaz in the summer window.

The 27-year-old is on the front page of Mundo Deportivo, and it’s said he’s the ‘best fit’ for the La Liga side. He can only arrive at the Camp Nou if Raphinha were to be sold.

Barca have decided to strengthen their attack, and the Liverpool player is the one that’s liked by their sporting director, Deco.

Raphinha has impressed for the Catalan club, but he could be sold in the next window. He operates on the right wing, and Lamine Yamal would be preferred ahead of the former Leeds United man next season.

The Brazilian has already rejected important offers from Saudi Arabia. Barca are of the belief that there will be more offers, and they will only cash in from his sale to strengthen the left-wing position. This is where Díaz has been identified as the main target.

The Liverpool attacker has several qualities, including his age and profile, that makes him suited for Hansi Flick’s side. There are other factors that could help them to sign him.

Mundo say Díaz ‘has suffered’ at Liverpool in the recently concluded season, partly due to criticism aimed at him. The Colombia international is ‘not completely at ease’ and Jürgen Klopp’s departure is ‘weighing heavily’ on him.

Barca are ‘playing’ with the aforementioned factors and his desire to join them [earlier revealed by his father] to try to sign him.

Raphinha is key for Díaz’s arrival, and if the former were to be sold, Barca will use that money to sign the Colombian. It remains to be seen whether the Reds are willing to let their player leave in the next window.
