It seems that Sporting CP could be really looking for a player to replace William Carvalho at the club.
But according to the newspaper, Sporting will only advance for the transfer if they sell William Carvalho, who has West Brom pointed out as the main pretender.
The Lisbon side have no intention of letting the 25-year-old leave for less than €35m, still a bit more than what West Brom offered last summer.
It’s interesting to see Sporting going for another midfielder, but a €6m signing could obviously still be a squad player. Especially with such an early approach, we see no reason why they couldn’t sign Vikcevic with Carvalho still in the team.
Tony Pulis admitting interest in Carvalho has certainly caused some excitement.
