Inter Milan are currently top of Serie A and looking well placed to win the league this season, battling with Juventus and AC Milan.
They’ve been helped by the capitulation at Napoli, with turmoil at the champions meaning they haven’t been able to put up a decent defence of their title yet.
The media around Inter Milan is bullish and that’s now seen InterLive claim multiple Premier League clubs are interested in multiple Inter players. Perhaps the biggest claims involve West Ham, Chelsea and Liverpool, with it stated all three are ‘likely’ to move for Hakan Calhanoglu.
Newcastle United are also mentioned as an option, but the claims around the Magpies aren’t as big as West Ham, Chelsea and Liverpool.
It’s suggested an effort could be made in the January window, but Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi would be set against an exit then, ‘even for €50m’.
In reality, €50m for a player who turns 30-years-of-age in February sounds over the top anyway, and this all feels like an effort to hype Inter players.
Hakan Calhanoglu has been linked with a move to the Premier League countless times, with West Ham, Chelsea and Liverpool no doubt linked before.
Nothing has come of it before, and it’s unlikely anything will come of it in January… especially if Inter wouldn’t see €50m as being enough.
