Italian outlet Calciomercato today has a very interesting story on Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Samuel Iling-Junior.
The website comes forward to claim that with the midfielder having little playing time at Juventus this season, the Old Lady are now ‘open’ to letting him go.
Tottenham are said to be ‘above all’ in the list of admirers, as they sent scouts to watch him ‘several times’.
With Juventus having Iling as a ‘prime suspect’ to leave the club in January and be sacrificed for a fair amount of money, their request is said to be of around €20m.
Tottenham are still said to be ‘observing’ the situation and apparently haven’t made a stronger approach so far.
Since Juventus are already targeting other midfielders for the winter market, perhaps Spurs could take advantage of their desire to get a deal done and end up getting a discount in the negotiations.
Iling only has 113 minutes on the pitch for the Bianconeri this season, so it will be no surprise for him pushing to get the transfer done, as long as Tottenham promise him he will have more playing time in the Premier League.
