The David De Gea to Manchester United rumour brings about a myriad of possibilities relating to offshoot rumours. Jose Mourinho can be linked with bringing in a new goalkeeper and, as is most popular right now, it can be claimed Manchester United are demanding players from Real Madrid in return.
Diario Gol, who are very fond of big hitting stories, have claimed Mourinho has made Real Madrid aware he wants one of their players as part of any De Gea deal.
The players he’s said to be keen on are Raphael Varane, with the Portuguese manager a self confessed fan of the defender, Casemiro, the Brazilian midfielder who has made himself a place at Madrid, and Toni Kroos.
Manchester United have been repeatedly linked with Kroos and the German international is an important cog for Madrid. Should Kroos be ruled out then Mourinho wouldn’t be disappointed with Luka Modric instead.
Diario Gol are a Barcelona outlet who, judging by some of their recent claims, get a surprising amount of Real Madrid stories. Perhaps they’re just trying to wind the capital club up, and this time Manchester United have been dragged in.
It’s strange Diario Gol didn’t mention Gareth Bale, given less than a week ago they claimed Manchester United are set to make an attempt to sign the Welshman.
